Since entering a distribution agreement with the Korean Oil Corporation (now SK Energy) in April 1968, INSUNG has become the largest asphalt distributor in South Korea. The collaborative relationship allows INSUNG to fulfill the needs of the customer with quick and accurate delivery of premium quality asphalt.
In 2016, INSUNG established a modified asphalt production facility to produce innovative products such as, eco-friendly, high functionality asphalt.

Eco Friendly Asphalt Premix type : SK Energy developed proprietary technology modifies the chemical composition of asphalt to increase viscosity to aggregates and reduce friction among aggregates, which significantly increases water resistance and resiliance.
Molecular reactive additives : SK Energy developed proprietary molecular reactive additives enable mid-temperature production and construction of asphalt concrete. The lower temperature increases peel resistance and reduces the amount of fumes released during production and constructions, making it an eco-friendly product.
Mid-temperature: Improved lubricity and adhesion to aggregates lower the production and construction temperature by 30 degrees celsius.

Superphalt (SBS PMA) SK Energy developed proprietary technology to be the first domestically produced polymer modified asphalt. SBS PMA significantly increases resilience and elasticity, reducing the degree of plastic deformation and degree of cracking, respectively, to drastically extend the lifespan of roads.
