Since establishment in 1960, INSUNG has been leading the market and technology for the steel drum and asphalt industry in South Korea.
The shift in logistical requirements and environments in the packaging industry led INSUNG to expand through related diversification with PE Drums, IBCs etc. In the long-term, INSUNG is in pursuit of a vision to become a ‘Total Package Solution’ provider to strengthen market dominance.

Ulsan Plant, constructed in 1962, is the first steel drum manufacturing plant in Korea, has the biggest production capacity, and operates the only drum research center in Korea.

Steel Drum A to Z
Dangjin plant was initially built in lncheon in 1978 but moved to Dangjin in 2013 in order to streamline its facilities and respond swiftly to various issues. The plant now produces a wide range of products including large, medium and small drums.

The AOSD has a purpose of identifying the industry’s mission and goals but also serves as a platform for players in the steel drum value chain to build relationships, exchange information, share market insights, promote new technology and discuss ways to solve environmental problems. As the market leader in South Korea, CEO of INSUNG has served as a vice chairman of the association.
